People Wrote the Bible, not God , Declairs the Faithful Catholic.

Well the reason we want you to say read the cathecism of the catholic church for e.g is because it makes so much sense. And you must be able to see the sense such as our reasons to believe in purgatory. People wrote the bible btw. Not God. How do you know those people were truly inspired? We know because the Catholic church says so.

How beautiful the faith of the devotee. The CC says so, so it must be true. Also, the catholic devotee belives man wrote the bible, not god. That explains why you can find catholics bowing befor graven images and repeating rote prayers, formula prayers, ordered by their priests. Lets take a look at catholic priests.

For residents of Rome, the sight of courting priests is hardly an anomaly. The phenomenon is a well-known secret here, and one that was largely ignored until last weekend, when the Italian weekly magazine Panorama published a shocking exposé called “Le Notti Brave Dei Preti Gay,” or “Good Nights Out for Gay Priests.” Investigative journalist Carmelo Abbate spent 20 days undercover posing as the boyfriend of a man who ran in gay clerical circles, secretly videotaping the sexual escapades of three Rome-based priests. Abbate caught the priests on hidden camera dirty dancing at private parties and engaging in sex acts with male escorts on church property. He also caught them emerging from dark bedrooms in time to celebrate mass. In one postcoital scene, “Father Carlo” parades around seminaked, wearing only his clerical vestments. Abbate’s “date” even had sex with one of the priests to corroborate the story. “This is not about homosexuality,” Abbate, who is not gay, told NEWSWEEK. “This is about private vices and public virtues. This is about serious hypocrisy in the Catholic Church.”

  1. You say somewhere that only God forgives sins. Not priests. Another ignorance. Of course God only forgives. However, when you commit a really grave sin.....its good to go to confession. Because when people sin gravely, they can develop a consiounce that is not so clear. More sin and "oh its not that bad a sin." when a person sins gravely and leaves christ then wants to come back.....then they can be unsure of what is sin and what is not. And what to confess. They need instruction again. The priest helps out very much and guides them. When they, the priests, say "i forgive you" Jesus is forgiving them using the priest as an instrument.

    1. so true louise...but when we have people who refuse to submit to the authority of Christ's apostles to whom Christ granted his authority...then we see that we are dealing with some very skewed sense of truth...when a person says they go directly to God but on the other hand they refuse God's guidance through his church indeed such a person is only saying they trust themselves and do not go to God for any guidance whatsoever...in effect they are contradicting themselves...and in so doing leading themselves into a deeper chasm of denial until you get what you see here which is a terrible and piteous prison of hatred totally self-educed ..the sin of the devil (pride)...when Jesus he had given the keys to peter he meant he had bestowed all the charisms necessary to combat ignorance..chiefly among these is proper discernment...which we find lacking in this instance...if we are told that the truth will set us free and that peter possesses the keys we are confident when we place our trust and faith in this church...the keys can be understood as sacraments as well...since Jesus stated himself we need three for salvation...baptism, confession, eucharist..Jesus said unless you eat my body you have no life,,, Jesus also said repent,,, as well he said we need to be baptized...and so the keys to heaven are here..but as we see....when a person rests on their own notions of truth they fall prey to delusion, contradiction, doubt, intolerance etc... 1 Timothy 6:3-5

If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.

  2. Yeah John your right. People read the bible and judge for themselves. So, they are actually living off their own man made interpretations. They say the Holy Spirit inspires them so what they say regarding certain aspects of the bible is gospel. And they are mere men. People need to be open and realise how much good the church has done. Numerous catholic schools, missionary stations, hospitals, writing and protecting the bible, conserving art and remaining the only strong ones to continue telling people that such things as contraception ad abortion are both sin under watever circumstance. (unlike other denominations that in the 1960's due to pressure said "oh contraception e.g is now ok. A sin... now not a sin??? There is so much ignorance e.g. priests forgiving sin, the pope being rich, worshiping bread, worshiping the pope etc.
